NAVSTA Newport - Liberty Center

The Liberty Program schedules and plans activities and trips targeted to single and unaccompanied 
service members (ages 18-25 years old). The Liberty Center has eight computer stations with free 
Internet access, plus WiFi for personal laptops. There are pool tables, a foosball table, ping 
pong, three video gaming stations with XBox 360, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Wii and two TV 
viewing areas with recliners. There is also a small movie viewing room offering free movies from 
the Navy Motion Picture Service (NMPS). A “Book Swap” area is available, as well as books from the 
Navy Professional Readiness Program. Food may be ordered from the Recreation Center menu seven 
days a week.

Wednesday: Bowl at Seaview Lanes and your shoes are FREE, 4-6 p.m.
Thursday: Puzzles
Friday: Bingo

5th - Karaoke Night, come show off your talent, 7-10 p.m.

6th - Trivia Night, join us 3-6 p.m. brownies & prizes!

12th - Cornhole Tournament, 6-10 p.m.

13th - Winter-themed Movie Marathon, 1-8 p.m.

18th - REC U - Paint Night in Seaview Lanes 6 p.m., 90 minute class.

20th - Snowball fight outside Liberty, weather permitting, 2-4 p.m.

26th - Bingo at Unaccompanied Housing, Building 689 pizza & prizes, 6-7 p.m.

27th - Volunteer at Family Bowling Event at Seaview Lanes and get to bowl one game 
for free, 12-2 p.m.

This facility is alcohol-free and is open to active duty personnel E1-E6 or active duty personnel 
attending Officer Training Command Newport (OTCN) or Naval Academy Preparatory School (NAPS).
